Jodi No. 1 is as famous for the jodies as for its judges also. It had some remarkable dancers like Sundaran Master, Kala Master, Actors Meena, Shaam and Jeeva as judges before. Even the terrific dancer Simbu featured for some shows.
Now you have got veterans Radhika and Gauthami as the judges. As top film stars they had done many an interesting dance sequences for films. But first time they are judging a reality dance show. How different are they from earlier judges? What’s your take on them?

ReplyDeleteAs far as this jodi no 1 season 4 is concerned, i would prefer the jury members must be the talented dance professionals cum choreographers. so then it would be a better choice,when we have present film choreographers,whom they are doing choreography for the recent south indian films.

ReplyDeletei would absolutely agree with anonymous... like a choreographer, an actor and an actress.but these judges should be well trained dancers.We don't want the present judges... if the dance is good they should appreciate it rather than always pointing out mistakes. But if these present judges are going to be future judges then the show is not going to be popular but boring... So please change the judges....

U GOT TO HAVE TRAINED DANCERS/choreographer as JUDGES, because quality of judgement is what is going to make the SHOW A GREAT SUCCESS! Atleast Radika, for her charisma.....u can bear with her, but you got to change Gouthami and bring in a Male Actor with superb Dancing capabilities, also the MAIN JUDGE muse surely be a Professional dancer like Prabu Deva, Raju Suntharam, Suntharam or Shoby.

ReplyDeleteI am great fan of vijay tv jodi no1. Last week we all are disappointed. over build up for that two judges.on the second day tv introduced the second judge name as gowthami. Then suddenly i change to another channel.Bcoz all the participants are very tallented. But the judges are very good in acting but they are not good dancer. If u not change the judges ,we never see again this shows.its not only my feelings,its all of my friends and all tamil auditions.

ReplyDeleteI think viewers are really disappointed with the judges.The judges should be experts to judge the contestants. I have never seen Radhika as good dancer at least.She is very bossy and making the place very scary. This is not her serial to rule others.

ReplyDeleteIf this is a reality show showcasing people's acting skills, then i would completely support Radhika and Gouthami being chosen as judges. However, it is not. It's a dance competition! I really don't understand what Vijay TV was looking for when selecting the judges. I understand that they may have did all kinds of dances for their movies, but dance is not their profession. Just because they are considered influential people within the industry, doesn't mean that the audience will accept them as judges. They should go back to acting in serials and let real dancers judge the competition.

i vehimentaly appose radika to be the judge because she is not suitable to be the judje because of the folling reasons:

2. She is a busy women who has no time or less time to watch this program to understand what is the basis or the motivation of this program for the benifit of the people of india and the people around the world who wants benefits from this program
3. what is the motivation of your being conducting such a program for the benefit of or youngsters of or the kids of the world that you could determine the valuable advantage for the participant or the odience?
4. I am asking these questions for the following reasons:
Reason no. 1. I do not know why such program has been telecasted or got involved such a good performances to be telecasted for the purpose of WHAT?
5. Please tell me the partipent of jodi no. 1. could be judged by whome?
6. Please tell me as a personal question, the participant of jodi no. 1 is compareble to world class dancers who are not participant in front of unqualified judges?
7. I want to know the participants are indian class or the asian class or the world class?
If you can determine this, please determine on what basis the participants are selected for the purpose of entertaining the audience as well as entertaining the participants?
8. Are there any cetified masters or dancers in your country to judge remarkable perfomances that is rendered by the jodi no 1 participants? If so plase name them? I beleive on the participant's side that this is crucial. But i don't beleive that on the telecasting side this is not crucial as the participant's cycological and motivational and reprehersan concerns.

I have watched them perform from the beginning and I believe you. To judge them you have to bring in professionals not people who cannot even be called dancers.I empathise with all the contestants. ReplyDeleteVijay TV did a superb job in bringing the top notch dancers to the same stage. But the judges??? It is like TENDULKAR's ton going in vain. SERIOUSLY what went wrong with the thought process? THE JUDGES ARE HOPELESS. The comments given by them are like dialogue delivery. It is not about the star power of the judges. It is about their knowledge about dance. We watch the dance and skip the comments from the judges. I hope Vijay TV is listening. It is the only channel delivering high quality entertainment and hate to see them doing mistakes.
ReplyDeleteThe current judges are just complaining and making senseless comments. They dont seem to understand what they are speaking (I am not here to judge them) or may be not they are not communicating clearly. I pity the contestants for their hardwork and to be judged by 2 leading actresses.
I would say, even bring dance masters who we are not familiar with. The judges need to understand the dance and deliver meaningful comments.

Contestants are really superb matured. But judges very poor and waste. May be both Radhika and Gowthami are top hereons but as a judge they are really immature to judge these dancers. We sorry to say but its real fact we observe and many would have agree our view . vijay tv would have selected some top Dance masters or stalwarts as judges.

In Boys Vs Girls events itself we were throught unhappy with the judge Meena. What good she did (we dont know whether real) at final only right she did. otherwise in many events her view is unhappy to most viewers (may be few happy).

C'mon man ppl who run the show dont have common sense is it, when serial and tv actors danced they had Kala Master, Sundaram Master, Ramya Krishnan, Sangeetha, Simdu, Jeeva, Aishwarya Dhanush as judges who were either choreographers or had learnt dance but now. Its ok that Radhika and Gauthmi are good actors but to judge JODI we need some one who is passionate about dancing. We have hell no. of dance masters and superb dancers who know wat s being presented, the producers could have taken them. You should have judges who know about different dance techniques of different dance genres... Hopefully the 3rd judge (probably a male) would be a well known dance, choreographer and 1 who REALLY KNOWS ABOUT DANCE........

This is one TV program, I am sure a lot of people would like to miss. The fact that Radhika and Gowthami was appointed as judges clearly explains that Vijay TV is not interested to run this show for long. They both are rank bad dancers during their time, and they have been appointed as judges. They simply are not fit for the positions.

ReplyDeleteFirst off, i think Jodi No.1 should have brought out better judges, more experienced dancers, who are capable of evaluating dance performances. And where is the third judge? That judge better make up for both the judges. I hope its a favourable EXPERIENCED dancer. I also think that there shouldnt have been elimination when only two serious rounds have passed. The judges should give the jodis more time to show their strengths them. Arun and Priya should NOT have been eliminated because they are both very good dancers. Adding to that, last time satish wasnt present and therefore you didnt eliminate anyone. But satish is once again not here, so how is it possible to eliminate? Dont the same rules apply? I'm definetly disappointed in the judges.

ReplyDeletep.s. just the way we judge how Radhika, Gowthami and other actors in the cinefiled act in their movies even though we are not professional actors, they are judging the Jodi No.1 dancers. Should only actors judge an actress? even if you dont know how to dance, u can be a good judge..however, u do need to know those basic types of dance forms :) hope they wont repeat the same comments again n again throughout this season.

I think you shouldn't eliminate Priya becaue she was good dance plus when sathees sick they shouldn't eliminate "priya". ReplyDeleteI've been watching the show from season 1. Love the program. i thought the 4th season is going to be BIG when i saw the contestants... Then when you introduced the judges, YOU JUST KILLLLLLED IT!!!! common, these two ladies' dance were no different from Mr. Bhagiaraj (exercise). for them DANCE only meant running around trees and chasing aaddu kutties (baby goats) - what do they know about folk, hip hop, western, etc, etc.... if you want to sell the show bring in a celebrity (male/female) to host the show.. but for judging pleaseeee..... bring in someone proffessional.... even that raguram guy if you have to... but NOT RATHIKA and COWTHAMI - let them stick with their serials...

ReplyDeletetotally upsetting when Premgopal and Premini lost today..I know dance and not hip hop , am not able to judge myself..and I am not sure if the judges have given a good judgement. I'e seen Gautami dance in a hindi song..with absolutely no grace..he has two left feet. Why are they always talking about connection between the jodi...give and take, chemistry..is that all...in a dance competition, steps are also important, how well u perform..difficult steps with ease and some that need grace and some that need speed and energy...smiling at ur partner is not everything.....are u selecting the next ACTOR and ACTRESS of tamilnadu via jodi no 1. whilst i agree that the couple should totally blend with each others style and make it work together....i would also like to emphasize that choreography, theme are all important.

ReplyDeleteI honnestly think that the judges in this season are not the best to judge such people with intense passion in dance. I mean the last time I have seen Gouthami Mam or Radhika Mam, I don't think they have danced any dance sequence in a single shot or that they have danced with professional movements. TO top it off, the performers themselves choreograph their own routine. This season is worth having better judges with more experience in dance than only in film dance. It is late to switch judges but felt as if I should raise my voice upon this issue.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the comments Radhika Mam gives sometimes feel irrelevant to what was performed on stage.The first time she comments of the contestants' performance and she has to criticize more than compliment. These contestants may or may not agree but they cannot argue back. As Radhika mam mentioned in an episode, "there is no second chance". Therefore, more than contestants, the judges should keep that in mind and appreciate each and every oneof their talents.
Eliminating Arun and Priya is one event that blew me off. Sri Karthik and Priya deserved to leave the stage that day.

DD is the worst dancer in the show. It is clear Priyadarshni is influencing both the judges, so that they don't eliminate DD. Also both the judges are good for nothing. Radhika has said a few weeks back that she hates Hindi community, clearly inciting social tensions. Last week, participants were dancing for Hindi songs, and 'Radhika' was judging the show. If she is honest, since she was hating the hindi community, she should not have judged in that round. So, she is neither honest nor competent. Please REMOVE HER, if VIJAY TV is for impartial and Family Channel.
ReplyDeleteWaves are part of HipHop dance. I didn't find that Premgopal and premini danced out of context in the one on one round. As a very good professional dancer, i feel their performance met the international standards. They are very innovative and performed well. As mentioned by Gautimi i don't find any Ballet or any other western dance influence in their HipHop. Comparitively i would say Premgopals dance was pure HipHop compared to Wangs performance. I was able to remember the HipHop performance given by great professional in the Oscar ceremony.

Since the contestants are choreographers themselves, so judges must be well recognized choreographers like PrabhuDeva, John Britto,etc. Radhika & Gouthami definelty does not deserve to be judges of dance competetion. And Deepak & Priyadharshini calling them as 'KalaiSelvi' Radhika and 'Peralagi' Gouthami that is more ridiculous. If Vijay Tv wants actresses as Judges then there also so many actress who danced well in flims like Simran, Nadhiya, Revathi, Jyothika, Banupriya are there, then why it picked up Radhika & Gouthami.

ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of ur's . and u do have a lots of fan over the world. the jodi no1 is very nice program and every one likes it. but the thing is the judges are not professional dancers.Hence they are not aware of dance properly. radhika really a funny creature.
change the judges..or else prog is a let down..may be worst season with talented participants.. please try to change the judges. i have seen all the comments posted over here
every one is unhappy with the judges. really radhika is supporting DD very much . last week show she selected DDpair as best performance i think every one knows what happend . this is a very great show and the nice show please dont spoil this by judges who dont konw abt the dance.
Who ever it may concern take it as a serious and try to avoid those 2 ladies for this show and put some professional dancers as a judges

guys RADHIKA knows nothin about HIP HOP and to be frank gauthami is also not in a level of starters in dance and wat makes the directors to make them as judges,..****n two judges doesnt even know wats hiphop and sayin prem was out of context crapp,.. we hate to see this show change the judges atleast if u cant now add a professional dancer as a judge

ReplyDeleteToday's Jodi No.1 is refreshing. Karthi & Tamannah are measured in their comments and proved lot better Judges than Radhika and Gowthami. Vijay TV, Kindly continue with Karthi & Tamannah as judges and don't ever revert back to Radhika/Gowthami, if you don't wish to loose viewership. If Karthi & Tamannah are busy and unavailable, you can appoint anybody but not Radhika/Gowthami.

One on one round - I'm from Dubai & never want to miss this wondrful show. his is my favourite show too. First of all Deepak is the vital for this show, without his opening it would have not been this much better, also PD good.

I have not seen any of her movie, that she dance atleast a fast movement or special dance other than coming sexy!!! If u want to respect the dancers & bring to bring the best Jodi out better u bring a excellent judge with good expeirnce. I think Simran is much more better than Gowtami. About Radhika....I don't know what to say bcos she's not talking much techniques about dance but also she's little jolly type. I would say that Prem Gopal & Premini just AMAZING & making proud of all the Sri Lankan Tamils.

Please change the judges...they can't even differentiate between a excellent dance and a average performance...they are showing partiality...DD's performance on 1-1 round was so bad and they got best performance..this was goven out of sympathy that both DD & satish created..If they have health problems,then don't participate..They shld have kicked DD & Satish out last wk instead from Arun & Priya...IF NOTHING IS DONE, VIJAY TV WILL LOSE ITS VIEWERSHIP....thanks...

ReplyDeleteI feel the judges are partial to few dancers.. which is spoiling the show. I enjoy each dance but when radhika/gowthami start speaking I change the channel. I think Vijay Jodi number 1 and the dancers deserve better judges.

It is unfortunate that an amazing show like Jodi N.1 is losing its image because of just two individuals. That is just so sad and you must react immediately!
Based on the comments I have been hearing I would like to say that both judges should be changed. If that is not possible, please at least change Radhika as she is not doing her judging task at all... instead she is just sitting there and 1) supporting DD and 2) clearly talking about unnecessary things. It is quite irritating. It is clear that Radhika has no knowledge of dance whatsoever. How could she understand the evolvement of hiphop when she has no basic understanding of dance itself? This has to be changed. All jodis are amazing and are showing great improvements. Therefore, we need only PROFESSIONALS to judge them.
Vijay Tv, there must be a reason why you wanted to hear viewers' comments about your shows. At the same time, there must be a reason why everyone on this page agrees to more or less the same POINT. Hence, please react soon. Please do not let your show go down and do not let your fans down.

The current judges of this show are doing good job so far. But as the competition levels increases, one may have to look into techniques also!
The famous dance shows across the world are judged by personality who are the Directors with an experience of being a Choreographers.
Currently in our Jodi no.1, two judges are doing their part very well by seeing how the musicality and expressions is blended with the dance. Much appreciate them. Nice constructive and destructive comments.
Along with them for appreciating/criticizing the techniques used, we may need to have one choreographer who is open-minded to all the styles.
"So You Think You Can Dance" is one of the TV Dance show. In this show the judges are -
